A Day dedicated to Gandhiji

Today while scrolling through my phone's gallery I found pictures from the day when I went to an educational trip.It was the first time when I went somewhere from my college. Though I tried my level best to make excuses so that I couldn't go (plan jo tha). But all in vain.My 5 marks rested upon this 'educational tour' despite all the voices in my head telling me,'don't go Asmita!' But it was destiny that I had to go.I love exaggerating such things, haha.

Incident that changed everything!

We went to Gandhi smriti, national Gandhi museum and birla house.

We were being told about Gandhi ji's life throughout. There were some of the stories which I never knew.Initially, in Gandhi Smriti we saw these stories about life journey of gandhi. His journey from being Mohan das to Mahatma. It was very long exhibit. And we literally waited ki ye khatam kab hoga.It was very detailed outlook on Gandhiji's life.

Then we went to national Gandhi museum. It had some really good documentary films on Gandhiji and his initiatives.

And finally the trip came to end with our last spot Birla house. This was where Gandhiji lived in his last days before he was shot by Nathuram Godse.

Gandhiji has always been a leading figure in India's political history.People love him.Well some just hate him.But obviously his contribution in indian independence cannot be ignored. He was a man who unified a country at a time when it seemed highly unlikely. And when we think of our country's freedom struggle he stands out for sure. There will be many who might disagree. But considering that a man who stood by his ideals and values throughout his life to fight against injustice is really commendable. And as Bhagat Singh said that criticism and independent thinking are indispensible qualities of a man.And therefore, we should criticise Gandhi if we have valid points. But ridiculing him and undermining all his contribution is really inhuman. While reading Gandhiji's autobiography one realises that he always stood by his ideals since his childhood. He called himself a shy person but according to him that was his shield because it prevented him from oversharing!I found this quite funny but that's true.

In short it was a beautiful day.And my plan was also successful :)
