Coming of the Age

 At the end, everything is fine !

"kya tujhe bhi kabhi kabhi lonely feel hota?",this starts a very deep conversation between me and my cousin.We touched almost every possible reason why we can at times feel lonely/irritated/frustrated and extremely excited the other moment.Many might think is that even a topic to have a conversation about...feelings! we,HUMANS despite being so, hardly talk about how do we feel.The first question a therapist asks is this only,'tell us what exactly you feel? yet we shy away from ourselves that I feel a certain way about the changes.

Change is the only constant yet it's the most uncomfortable situation.Going from known to unknown can make anyone anxious.This was the first conclusion of our conversation.As leaving school makes one feel as if we are leaving a part of our personality.All the routine things are now a memory.So are the notions about society and ideas that are changing.This is the worst part.The idea of what is right and wrong is really confusing.And on the top of everything comes this fancy phase, 'coming of age'.

According to dictionary meaning this phrase means when someone becomes an adult.So as per this definition I am only three days short of this phase.I will become a young adult surprisingly.With that I think things will change,is it?I don't know! vese bhi its normal!! 

Back to the conversation,we made eachother understand few things.And we collectively made eachother understand , that self critiquing is fine but one needs to be kinder with him/herself.So that's how we had a very productive terrace talk.

The movie dear Zindgi is a beautiful movie which has the same theme.The therapist, jugs doesn't give kaira any so called  'technique' but he makes her realise that emotional upheaval is normal and such problems will come no matter what but at the end we have to learn how to deal.And that is taught by the school of life!

This blog must have been written in May which is regarded as mental health awareness month...how I got to know this fact is another story.Top secret!
