Delhi Monsoon - 2

DELHI MONSOON SHOWER

~My wake up sid moment!

 ~Part  2

The reader must have spent sleepless nights wondering what might have happened to that girl mentioned in part 1?? Well here's a hint, nothing serious but only filmy!

I saw a girl walking few steps ahead of me.She was having beautiful short hair. She didn't have an umbrella. And she was not even regretting it.She was fully enjoying the rain.I was surprised by the fact that she lived in the same colony. And I made sure that I was walking slowly so that I could see what this girl was about to do.At one point she stopped and opened her arms and it looked as if she was trying to feel the cool breeze. She was not worried about her bag which was completely wet.She looked carefree and walked like a peacock. On the other hand I was struggling with my umbrella and long braids.Still I tried to soak in everything that beautiful day had to offer. We all have different idea of enjoying. For that stranger girl it was about being carefree, running and hopping in the water puddles. For me it was a mission to save myself from every raindrop. How boring is it?isn't it?But that doesn't mean I didn't look around for the flowers and trees and lovely birds.I did look for all these as my idea of fun is simply this no  matter how boring people find me.This was about 30th June.A month has passed and over that period so much hua hai ki I don't know what to write and what not.In the part one I wrote about elaborating about my b'day, but how absurd it would be that after one month I'll be telling you that I did this or that.So I won't :p

After 30th, there were a number of days when it rained.I even remember the dates. But that would make me sound like a madman. One day I was in class when it started raining. And my friends looked at me with the hopeful expression that 'ab agla blog ayega'.Whenever it rained I kept asking people , 'is it still raining, ruk gyi kya barish?'.Whenever I got a chance to stand near window I could only get a glimpse of the titli on the pillar that 'I' once painted( I guess).I could hear her saying 'Asmita, mujh par bhi likh kuch!'. Very soon dear, I replied.

28th was a lucky day as it rained around the chhutti time!!!! I was so excited as I finally got that moment of opening my pink chhatri. I headed straight to the bus stop and waited for the bus. This time I won't be commenting on flowers that looked terribly gorgeous near southex or the dark clouds. This time I will write about people. There were a number of people at the bus stop waiting for their buses. Then, the bus came.It was filled with water.A lady was shouting at a man for not giving her the seat reserved for woman. To this the man didn't respond until the conductor asked him to give her seat as she was old.A girl sitting besides me was talking about the office politics with her friend on phone. She was fully upset with what Divya did.She pretended to be her friend and got all the secrets and now talking bad about her.I listened her very attentively when she was about to give a gossip, that she realised that next stop was South ex and she had to go so she told her friend,' yaar mai sari baat ache se ghar jakar bataungi, abhi bus me hu sara nhi bta payi,' My Godd!!! that means that there is volume 2 of this office politics that I missed! I feel bad for myself.Sometimes overhearing people in public is fun.especially on a rainy day.
I got off at my stop and saw all the street vendors packing their samaan. The subway became a refuge for all those who didn't have an umbrella.I had one and made a walk showing it off! The rest of the ghar yatra was spent looking for the strange girl who perhaps was having an umbrella this time.

ASMITA

-dialogue of the month-

'jab tak hum hai hamare liye uske baad aane vali generation ke liye'- this is the lamest explanation of nurturing nature that I gave on stage on being asked by our principal. But it was funny!!
