As a teenager reading biographies may seem boring but this one was different. Manoj Bajpayee (not bajpai :p) is one of those actor who is known for his art.This book reveals a lot about his life. His early years in Bihar and then discovering his dreams to be an 'actor'.
The initial chapters also reveal a historic story associated with his ancestral house. His life story seems more like a movie itself. While going through the book various stories and unknown facts about theatre and acting world came into light.
Another thing that I liked was the changing themes of Bollywood films and times with Manoj Bajpayee as centre. From theatre to films and then OTT it was a journey of believing in one self and one's dreams.
The struggling years of Manoj Bajpayee in Delhi and Mumbai form a crucial part of his life story. For example, he dreamt of getting into NSD but couldn't. But after that he worked hard and improved himself so much that his brilliant performance in several plays became an example for students.This was an inspiring incident for me.And there were many more!!
The true ingredients of success that is hardwork, iron will power and the constant urge to improve helped him in realising his dreams.
Overall, it's a must read for cinema lovers. Though I am not a huge cine fan but this book was more about a true story of following one's dream for me.
