Madam Prime Minister
Finally after few careful negotiation and signing pacts with di, we visited Indira Gandhi Memorial Museum. It is situated on Akbar Road and was previously house of Indira Gandhi during the years she was PM of India. This house is of great importance in History of post Independent India because of the decisions taken by madam PM in her tenure( see picture 1).

There is no entry fee.It was quite busy unlike National Museum where there were only few people last time. Since it's spring Akbar road was blossoming and there were leaves and flowers all over.There were various government bunglows housing ministers.That area is actually very peaceful and calming.
On entering one can see a huge collection of pictures from the childhood of Indira Gandhi.The days when she was Indira Nehru or lovingly called Indu.

Few pictures were from the days when she used to live in Teen Murti Bhawan.Her awards and honours were also kept there.Her academic rewards and the books she used to read were also displayed.

Various news clippings and comical satires were also displayed from the time of Emergency. Then there were various rooms namely her bedroom,dining room,living room and a pooja room.My favourite was her office( picture 7).It was so beautiful. And her huge library.She was an avid reader.

There was separate section called Rajiv kaksha having collections of pictures of Rajiv Gandhi.

The Martydom place where she was assasinated by her guards on 31st october 1984 is now covered in crysal.It is there in her residence' lawn.

There is also a store run by memorial trust from where one can buy books, key chains and posters.I got myself a famous book, letters from a father to his daughter. As they say there are no blacks and white in History.So we can't really judge a person just by the acts he or she did.Indira Gandhi was an iron lady , the only female PM of our country till date.She is a very inspiring person.But the ending years of her political career got her immense hatred which lead to her tragic assasination.Overall, this place gives a deeper insight of her personal and political life.
